Bourbon Street in University Heights hosted the Mama’s Kitchen’s 17th Annual Wine Tasting Event, presented by Revivals, on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Proceeds went directly to the daily operations of Mama’s Kitchen, the only non-profit in San Diego that prepares and delivers three meals a day, seven days a week, at no charge to men, women, and children affected by AIDS/HIV or cancer. Partygoers experienced eclectic wine tastings with pours throughout the evening, while enjoying a sumptuous selection of hors d’oeuvres.
“Given the continued increased demand for our services, our annual Wine Tasting is an important event for Mama’s Kitchen,” says Alberto Cortés, executive director, Mama’s Kitchen. “The proceeds allow us to continue to provide life-sustaining nutrition to our neighbors battling AIDS or cancer. We are grateful to everyone who supports this wonderful event, helping us to provide responsive and meaningful services to our community.”
