On Saturday April 27th, the 2nd Annual PTE-Hope Multicultural Fair took place at Clarion Hotel in National City, CA. The event was free for all ages and open to the public. Several speakers attended including the city’s mayor, Ron Morrison, Council Member’s Mona Rios and Alejandra Sotelo-Solis and current City Council candidate for San Diego’s 4th District, Myrtle Cole. Performances included the Lei Oleander Dancers (Polynesian/Hawaiian), Chinese Dance “Year of the Snake”, Singing Sensation 9-year old Melanie Jimenez, Black Storytellers of San Diego, and a Fashion Show by Biblia Folk.
The event was sponsored by the County of San Diego, SD County Board of Supervisor, Greg Cox, and SD County Board of Supervisor, Ron Roberts. The event was emceed by Kristen Paruginog, Miss Philippines National, Founder and Executive Director of Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence.
